When we are not resting properly, the brain regions involved in emotions are up to 60% more active, which makes us react in an uncontrolled and unsuitable manner.

This was demonstrated by a 2007 study conducted by the University of California and Harvard Medical School.

Lack of Memory and Focus
Not resting enough or not having a good sleep affects our ability to concentrate and our memory. This, then, can have consequences on our ability to learn and on the memorization of concepts. So think about when you need to be active at work or for study!

Regular exercise after breakfast, or in the afternoon before dinner, is healthy for your body because burns energy that you could recover during the night.

Physical activity increases body temperature, so it is not advisable to practice it at the time of going to sleep.

It is good to turn off the television and the radio. If total silence is not possible, earplugs are a good option. The room should be dark and around 20ºC.

Some drops of valerian or an infusion of lime or chamomile before going to bed relax us and make rest easier. Some perfumes, oils or creams contain fragrances that induce sleep.

Lying on your back minimizes neck damage, as well as lung pressure, headaches, and insomnia. According to specialists, sleeping on the left side promotes heart activity, circulation, digestion, and lymphatic drainage.

Doing it on the other side, on the other hand, increases the oesophageal reflux.
